Our annual Golf Outing fundraiser is set for August 9, 2009.  Our goal is to raise money to help off set the costs associated with participation on the team (uniforms, accessories, entry fee, etc.)  These funds will benefit both JV and Varsity girls equally.

Our plans are moving along nicely.  We've booked a golf course, coordinated the day's activities and printed flyers.  Our next step is to register golfers to participate in the outing and to solicit door prizes and hole sponsorships.  That's where you come in!

Recruiting Participants:  We need help getting the word out to golfers  We're looking for 144 total golfers to make our outing a success.  You could help by contacting any golfers you know and invite them to participate and support our teams.  Consider family, friends, coworkers, doctor, dentist, etc.  You could post a flyer at work as well. 

EACH ROCKETTE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING AT LEAST 1 TEAM OF FOUR ($400.00) OR 1 HOLE SPONSOR ($125.00) OR YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE CHARGED $125.00!!!!!!

Door Prizes:  We also need door prizes.  Door prizes are donations provided by the area businesses.  Common donors are car washes (coupons), sporting goods stores (golf equipment, etc) golf courses (green fees, apparel) restaurants (certificates), hotels (weekend package), and electronic stores.  Each golfer is given a free raffle ticket and during dinner, we raffle off all the prizes.  Our goal is to get one prize per participant.  You can help by asking businesses that you frequent if they would donate a prize to our outing.  Each Rockette is responsibe for getting at least 4 donations (or more) as a family or individually.  NO EXCEPTIONS, OR YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE CHARGED.

Hole Sponsors:  We also need hole sponsors.  Hole Sponsors are businesses or individuals that donate $125.00.  For their donation, we will place a sign on a tee box recognizing them as that holes sponsor.  You can help by asking businesses that you buy from or your employer, if the could sponsor a hole.  Try the salesperson you bought your last car from, your dentist, the company that cleans your carpet or your tax preparer.   Most likely they'll say yes!  It's that easy.

This fundraiser benefits us all equally.  Please do whatever you can to help.

The Salem HS Rockettes are a nationally ranked pom and dance team and we are hosting our 9^th Annual Golf Outing on August 9, 2009 at Northville Hills Golf Club in Northville, Michigan.  The Golf outing is the girls’ major fundraiser for the year to defray costs for uniforms and equipment as well as trips to local and national competitions.

Hole sponsorships for the golf outing are available for $125.00.  Your company name and marketing statement or additional information if you choose, will be prominently displayed at one of the holes on a professionally made 2’ x 2’ sign.  After the golf outing, we will return the sign to you for display at your business.  Your company will also be listed as a sponsor in the Rockettes end-of-season show program.

The Rockettes is a great way for our high school girls to learn to dance and gymnastic skills in a highly competitive team environment.  The team achieved national recognition again the year, placing 7^th in pom at the recent 2009 National Dance Team Championship in Orlando, Florida in February.
