Heather has been dancing since she was five years old. She started out at Dance extreme and then transferred over to Central City Dance. She danced competitively at both studios. When she was 13 years old, she won the 1999 Jr. Miss Premier pagaent at ta dance competition. In 2001, Heather's freshman year she tried out for the Salem Rockettes. She made the first ever JV team at Salem. She made Varsity her sophomore year. She competed nationally with the Rockettes for 3 years. Her senior year on the team the Rockettes got 8th in pom and 11th in jazz. This year was the best that they had ever done at Nationals with their pom routine. She was a UDA All-Star her senior year. She graduated in 2005. She started her college career at the Univeristy of North Florida, and then transferred to Eastern Michigan University. She is currently attending Eastern with a major in psychology and a minor in nutrition. She will be graduating with her bachelors in psychology in December 2009.
Heather works at Bearclaw coffee in Ypsilanti, and has been there for 3 years. This will be Heather's first year as the coach of the Varsity team. She is very passionate about dancing and is both excited and ready to start this new experience. |
